Veterinary Dentistry at Sun Dog Cat Moon
Dental exams at Sun Dog Cat Moon include a careful check for abscessed teeth, tumors in the mouth, or any abnormalities. Our veterinarians expertly remove plaque and debris from your pet’s teeth and gum-line, and assess overall mouth health. If any dental problems are observed, we set to work treating the issue so your pet won’t have to suffer from dental pain.

Our veterinarians are happy to assess your pet’s teeth and gums. Protect your pet from dental pain by having their teeth cleaned at least once a year.

If your pet has any of the following dental issues, please call us right away to schedule an appointment:

  • Broken teeth
  • Refusing to Eat
  • Discolored Teeth
  • Build-up on Teeth
  • Trouble Chewing
  • Pain or Pawing at the Mouth
  • Bad breath
  • Bleeding in the Mouth
  • Extra Teeth
  • Sensitivity/Guarding the Mouth

The easiest way to care for your pet’s oral health is with regular brushing, but refrain from using human toothpastes or other products without first consulting with one of our veterinarians. Not all toothpastes for humans are safe for pets. If your pet is unaccustomed to regular tooth brushing, approach them gently while they are relaxed. If they start to panic, reintroduce the toothbrush when they are calm so toothbrushes are not associated with fear and anxiety.
